Three of Helen Frankenthaler’s ethereal paintings were selected in collaboration with Ulla Johnson to create a Spring/Summer 2026 Collection focused on movement and airy textures. The works Western Dream, Moontide, and Nature Abhors a Vacuum are featured in various garments creating a tailoring and eveningwear collection to highlight the color field paintings imagined into textiles. As a pivotal figure in postwar abstraction, Frankenthaler pioneered a soak-stain technique that allowed pigment to merge directly with raw canvas, much like the interaction with fabrics. Her work invites a different way of seeing—where movement emerges from stillness and emotion radiates through color.
