RESOURCES   |   ADVOCACY

We apply a two-pronged approach to our strategy — protection and promotion. We advocate for the rights of our members because we believe that artists rights must be recognized and protected.

We defend the rights of the artist, and assure protection for their work and legacy in the following manner:

Licensing Expertise

ARS has more than 30 years’ experience in licensing works of art for editorial and commercial purposes. ARS interacts with museums, auction houses, scholars, publishers, galleries, advertising agencies, film and television production companies, educational and commercial entities.

Legal Support

Our in-house legal team offers guidance for members, provided the issue is one of intellectual property. Additionally, ARS actively monitors unauthorized uses and strives to rid the marketplace of them.

Global Representation

As a proud member of CISAC, the Paris-based umbrella organization that oversees the activities of international copyright collecting societies, ARS has reciprocal relationships with our 44 sister societies worldwide, guaranteeing expert copyright knowledge and protection around the globe.
