Vans and The Museum of Modern Art have collaborated on a footwear and apparel collection highlighting works by celebrated artists from MoMA’s collection. These MoMA and Vans sneakers feature details from one of ARS member Salvador Dalí’s best-known paintings, The Persistence of Memory, 1931, interpreted on the panels of the Vans Old Skool Twist. A new style for Vans, the Old Skool Twist is a spin on the classic Old Skool silhouette, featuring off-kilter lacing. The wavy side stripe pays homage to the surreal aspects of Dalí’s artwork.
