A self-proclaimed prophet and sign painter from Louisiana, Robertson’s deeply personal work combines vivid imagery, text, and symbolism, reflecting his experiences, beliefs, and inner world. Drawing from themes of religion, science fiction, love, and betrayal, his art is raw, emotional, and unapologetically unique. Robertson’s creations—from hand-painted signs to intricate drawings—give us a window into his vivid imagination and remarkable storytelling.

Lee Krasner, November’s Member of the Month, was never one to remain static in her artistic process. Throughout her career, she was known for constantly revisiting and reshaping her past work. In her celebrated Collage Paintings, like the one seen here, she would cut apart older canvases and create entirely new works by reassembling the fragments, giving them new life and meaning. This method allowed her to merge past and present, creating art that felt both familiar and completely fresh. Krasner's process of deconstruction and reinvention speaks to her resilience and refusal to be confined by traditional artistic boundaries, a true reflection of her revolutionary spirit.

Our November Member of the Month, Lee Krasner, exemplified the power of bold gestures and dynamic energy in her art. Her large-scale paintings from the Umber Series, seen here, showcase sweeping brushstrokes and rhythmic movement, all while reflecting a profound sense of freedom. During this period, Krasner, struggling with insomnia and working at night, found that artificial light affected her ability to work with vibrant colors. Because of this, she began using a limited palette of white and umber. The result is a series grounded in form and expression. Krasner’s emotional intensity and constant evolution as an artist shine through in these works, making them truly unforgettable.
